We’re bringing back those old familiar local band nights to El Indio in Downtown Santa Ana. With a few more cool things to add!
Hi everyone! Welcome to the first Blog post on our wonderful Stanford Sound and Stage website. It’s been a long time coming, but now that we have a small team and also a little bit of time at the beginning of 2024, we would like to update this anytime we have a cool “happening” or show coming up OR when we’ve had a cool show happen, and we want to share details about it.
With that being said, I am really excited to let you know that we will be bringing back our local band nights to El Indio Botany’s y Cerveza in Downtown Santa Ana. The nights are called Down the Street!
If you’re familiar with our sister organization Kilson Street, you would know that we had been organizing shows at El Indio since way back in 2018. But due to the pandemic (and because my schedule has been chaotic since starting Stanford Sound and Stage) we stopped doing those on a weekly basis. But now we’re back and we’ll be putting these Down the Street shows together for every last 4th Thursday of the month.
I’m sure you’re asking yourself, ok so what’s new or cool about these shows? Well, I think these nights are going to lend themselves to YOU finding out about cool local bands, meeting your friends and neighbors for a good night out, enjoying the great drinks and food at El Indio, and my favorite part: a Vinyl Record Store pop-up by local record shop Resident Vinyl! We also got word from El Indio about a really cool beer special reserved for ONLY these nights: $5 Pacifico 12oz cans while supplies last!
The other best part about this: all shows are free to enter! BUT they will be 21 & Over only. Sorry to those under 21!
I know there are people out there asking us about filming more Kilson Street episodes. Unfortunately, because we do so many more live shows nowadays we won’t be dedicating ourselves to that in the future. However! I am happy to announce that we will be recording these Down the Street shows and posting them on our Stanford Sound and Stage YouTube channel! So stay tuned for links!
